Includes a thorough review or your injuries, symptoms, medical history, work tasks and daily living activities. Followed by range of motion and functional movement testing. Lastly, we will end with addressing your personal fitness and health goals.
Based on your range of motion, functional mobility, and your personal goals, we will create a rehabilitation and strengthening program that suits your personal needs and work with you one-on-one. Every session will be modified depending on how you are progressing with the program. We do not believe in creating a program set in stone. Everyone’s body is different, and healing is specific to each individual.
If you need any additional sessions after discharge, please contact us to determine if further sessions can be requested depending on your claim.
We believe healing involves a combination of mental, emotional & physical components. Self-awareness and education of the nervous system connected to pain management is an important factor in recovering from an injury. We will aim to assist you with healing from your injuries so you can achieve your personal fitness and overall health goals.
If you have an occupational therapist assisting you with your ICBC claim, please send us their contact information so we can work as a team to help you return to work safely and with all the tools to succeed.
We work alongside your occupational therapist by reviewing your treatment plan together and creating a graduated return to work program (GRTW) tailored to your specific job demands.
At the moment, we are not taking any WCB files.
We can provide initial assessments to determine how to efficiently create a program based on your current situation. It is best if you can move your laptop or phone to slightly different positions to assist with ROM testing. If it is not possible, we can always work out a solution.
We will provide stretches and exercises by showing you the exercise and instructing you with cues and feedback. In addition, after our sessions, we can also send videos and photos which include specific descriptions to each exercise to ensure you have all the tools to succeed.
During our telehealth (virtual) sessions, we provide education, active exercises, stretches, functional progressions, self-release, and self-awareness techniques.
